Tekst av Rolf Wallin

When Anne Katrine told me about the Untuned Bell returning to Oslo, my first thought was that all the "normal" bells in the City Hall should have to call the odd bell back. They should go through a process lasting a whole week, preparing themselves and the city for the return of the lost voice. As always with groups accepting an outcast into their circles again, only a few individuals dare to speak for it in the beginning. Thus, at certain points of time every day for 7 days, a cascade of tones slowly evolves, eventually filling the city's acoustical room with all of its possible pitches. In the final gesture the outcast is given centre-stage, attended to and massaged by the musicians of SISU Percussion ensemble high above Tullinløkka. After that, the bell is taken good care of by the people of Oslo.
