I ambassadens kontoravdeling ble det lagt vekt på å fremheve noe særegent norsk. Valget falt på Per Manings fotografi Seal. Selen formidler Norge som en nasjon sterkt knyttet til havet, og det antas at motivet vil vekke undring og refleksjoner/diskusjoner blant ambassadens besøkende. Arbeidet har fått en sentral plassering, og fungerer som resepsjonens naturlige "forsvinningspunkt".

For the embassy office area, the objective was to call attention to something genuinely Norwegian. The final choice was Per Maning's photography entitled Seal. The seal motif communicates that Norway is a nation with close links to the sea, and the motif might prompt wonder and reflection/discussion among visitors to the embassy. The artwork is displayed in a central location and serves as the lobby's natural "vanishing point.
