På ulike måter har alle de tre kunstprosjektene tatt utgangspunkt i Riksarkivet som sted. Et satellittfoto av Riksarkivet har vært utgangspunkt for Eivind Lentz som har grepet tak i forholdet mellom analog og digital informasjon, og slik tematisert det historiske skillet som oppsto i det Riksarkivet gikk over fra analoge til digitale lagringsverktøy. Komponisten Cecilie Ore har betraktet Riksarkivet som ”en kjeller full av stemmer” og har laget et tidsur ved hjelp av lyder, blant annet hentet fra middelalderfragmentet med Olavssekvensen Lux Illuxit. Verket består av nærmere 100 ulike lyder som kombineres på nytt hver gang det avspilles. Ole Jørgen Ness har forholdt seg til byggeplassens fysiske muligheter og rammer underveis i prosessen, og har malt rett på fondveggen i vestibylen.

Using different takes, all three art projects spring from a shared basis: the National Archives of Norway as a physical site. A satellite photo of the National Archives building is the point of departure for Eivind Lentz exploration of the relationship between analog and digital information, thus thematizing the historical watershed represented by the Archives’ conversion to digital storage media. Seeing the National Archives as "a basement full of voices", composer Cecilie Ore created a cycle timer made up of sounds, including fragments from Lux Illuxit, a medieval hymn to St. Olav. Her sound installation consists of some 100 different sounds whose combination varies with each playback. Engaging with the physical possibilities and limitations of the construction site during his artistic process, Ole Jørgen Ness chose to paint directly on the central wall of the lobby.
