Dei nye verka på Høgskolen i Lillehammer har teke utgangspunkt i skolens eiga kunstsamling, som legg vekt på taktilitet og sansing. Men arbeida framhevar også oppdaging og nysgjerrigheit - sentrale verdiar i eit internasjonalt skolemiljø: Sverre Malling åtvarar oss mot flokkmentalitet i si tilvising til fløytespelaren i Hameln, Ole Martin Lund Bøs Doxa-serie leikar med perspektiv i forhold til betraktaren, mens Ane Graffs fotoserie trekkjer inn etiske og estetiske aspekt ved det å tileigne seg kunnskap. Alle legg dei vekt på verdien - og faren - ved læring og kunnskap.

The point of departure for the new works at Lillehammer University College is the institution's very own art collection, which emphasizes tactility and sensation. But the pieces also place an accent on discovery and curiosity - essential values in an international educational environment. With his references to the Pied Piper of Hamelin, Sverre Malling warns us against herd mentality, while Ole Martin Lund Bø's Doxa series plays with perspective in relation to the position of the spectator. Ane Graff's photo series calls attention to ethic and aesthetic aspects surrounding the acquisition of knowledge. Common to all is a focus on the intrinsic value - and danger - of learning and knowledge.
