De ansatte i Statistisk sentralbyrå ønsket seg kunst som handlet om helt andre ting enn tall. Kunstutvalget valgte å legge to kunstverk til institusjonens viktigste fellesrom – kantinen. De to verkene ble utarbeidet i fellesskap av Irene Nordli og John Roger Holte. Det ene verket er en kolossal hundeengel plassert høyt oppe på veggen. Det andre verket er en seks meter lang og 60 cm høy monter fylt av et bølgende landskap av silkeblomster og mytiske figurer i lakkert porselen.

The employees of Statistics Norway wanted artworks dealing with something quite other than numbers. The arts committee chose to install two artworks in the institution’s most important communal space, i.e. the cafeteria. The two works were created jointly by Irene Nordli and John Roger Holte. One of the pieces is a colossal dog angel mounted high up on the wall. The other one is a 20 foot long and 2 foot tall glass showcase filled with a meandering landscape consisting of silk flowers and mythical beings made of glazed porcelain.
