I Rena leir ble fire fotokunstnere med ulik erfaring og uttrykk engasjert: Jim Bengston, Per Christian Brown, Ingrid Book/Carina Heden og Mette Tronvoll. Høsten 2005 fulgte disse kunstnerne aktivitetene i Rena leir hvor de blant annet fikk overvære militære øvelser. Resultatet er en samling på ca 130 fotografier hvor militære aktiviteter dokumenteres med et kunstnerisk blikk. Bildene er montert ulike steder i leiren.

Four photographers with different backgrounds and artistic styles were commissioned for the Rena Military Camp:  Jim Bengston, Per Christian Brown, Ingrid Book/Carina Heden, and Mette Tronvoll. During the fall of 2005, these artists observed the activities in the Rena Military Camp, including military practice sessions. The result is a collection of some 130 photographs documenting military activities with an artist's eye. The photographs are hung in various locations throughout the camp.
