Kunstutvalget ønsket å finne fram til verk med tema og uttrykk som forholdt seg nyskapende til problemstillinger knyttet til høgskolens landlige omgivelser og til stedets historie. Det ble kjøpt inn 10 verk av fotokunstneren Ellen Ane Eggen: En serie på 8 landskapfotografier med fjellmotiv, et større landskapsfotografi fra Østerdalsnatur og et portettfotografi med den lokale kunstneren Kåre Norvik som motiv.

The art committee sought out artworks whose content and style represent innovative approaches to issues concerning the college’s rural surroundings and the history of the place. 10 works by the photo artist Ellen Ane Eggen were purchased: A series of 8 landscape photographs featuring mountain views; a larger nature scene from the Østerdalen region, and a portrait image of the local artist Kåre Norvik.
