INDOOR ART PROJECT: COMPETITION FOR THE NEW CONCERT HALL IN STAVANGER

The art committee issued an open call for the pre-qualification in order to locate artists for a significant indoor art project. The project should have a distinctive character with light is an important premise. The deadline for responses was 1 March 2010, by which point 145 artists from Norway and abroad had expressed interest in the project.

The Art committee has selected 4 candidates from the call for pre-qualification, to take part in a limited competition:

The art committee could invite artists directly to the limited competition stage. The invited artists are:

The deadline for artists to submit proposals is 1 September 2010. The jury will then carry out their assessment, followed by the announcement of the winner and a planned exhibition of the submitted proposals in Stavanger.
