Artists participating in a limited competition

In order to locate artists capable of solving the challenging and complex issue of the Amphitheatre, the art committee, ultimo 2008, issued an open call for the prequalification competition. The deadline for responses was 12 January 2009, by which point 84 artists from Norway and abroad had expressed interest in the project. The art committee could also invite artists directly to the limited competition stage. A limited competition is currently being held for proposals for art projects relating to the Amphitheatre. The deadline for artists to submit proposals is June 2009. The jury will then carry out their assessment, followed by a planned exhibition of the submitted proposals and the announcement of the winner in the autumn of 2009.   Further information on the outcome of the competition and details of the exhibition will be published at: www.koro.no/stavangerconcerthall.
