Five of the seven art commissions will be awarded to artists/artists’ collectives following an open call. For the Access Road, Rock Face and Entrance Area sites an open call for ideas was issued in 2008. For the Concrete Floor and the Upper Foyer an international prequalification stage was held in 2008.

Invitation: International pre-qualifying competition for Kilden, the new Performing Arts Centre in Kristiansand
Visual artists, those working within the field of the applied arts, and collaborating groups are hereby invited to take part
in an international pre-qualifying round for two art projects for Kilden; The 95 metres wall at 1st Floor Foyer and The continuous
level of flooring of approximately 3.000 square metres, running unbroken from the quayside into the foyer.
