A1 FLORIDA - Five artists / artist groups in limited competition

Five artists / artist groups have accepted the invitation to participate in a limited competition in the design of a larger water and/ or light based artwork in connection to the Bybanen stop at Florida. The competition will be held during spring 2010. We expect to choose the winner in summer 2010, followed by production and completion of the winning art project in winter 2011/ 2012.

The five participants in the competition are:
Thorsten Goldberg, Germany
Josefine Gűnschel, Germany
Marit Justine Haugen/ Dan Zohar, Norway
Per Åge Lyså, Norway
Jean-Bernard Métais, France.

Deadline for the prequalification was set to 15. September, and we received a total of 106 applications from highly qualified artists worldwide. The art committee for Bybanen will act as Jury. The jury received applications from 16 different countries, of this was: 25 Norwegian, 27 USA/ Canadian, 53 European, two Australian and one from Asia.
